Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER

Yesterday was another overcast gloomy day and once more the CH came on. (It's on now!) This morning it was overcast, dry and cool and the only change is that the overcast might be lifting a bit. The glass is up on 1016mb and the forecast is for a sunny start to the day but reverting to overcast at Noon and drizzle later this evening. The wind starts as a very light SE but as it gains strength it moves into the East and becomes moderate. The high will be 16C and the low tonight 11C. There will be an occasional -3C wind chill this afternoon. The outlook is for similar weather to today. At least we ought to have seen the last of the CH!

Yesterday we had a sunny start but the day ended with heavy overcast. At 20:00 we had a light breeze and overcast but it was dry. This morning it's dry but there is evidence of a recent shower. The glass has fallen to 1009mb and the forecast is for a damp overcast day with possible thunder in the early afternoon then some sunny spells later before dark. The southerly winds are light and give us a high of 15C and a low of 10C tonight with negligible wind chill. The outlook is for similar weather but perhaps brighter and with occasional showers.

Evenings and nights have been very chilly. Still have to water the gardens every 3 or 4 days.
Stunning day today 😊 🌞🌞

Yesterday we had a heavily overcast afternoon with thunder and lightning around 17:00. At 20:00 it was quiet but overcast. First thing this morning we had a light breeze, it was overcast but dry and there were signs that there had been a light shower during the night. It hasn't changed since. The glass is down slightly on 1007mb and the forecast is for sunny intervals and heavy showers until early afternoon. The mainly SW winds will be light to moderate giving us a high of 13C, a low of 7C tonight and a wind chill of up to -3C. The outlook is for slightly warmer weather but not much! Sorry Margaret but you'll need to wrap up warm!

Yesterday was drier than the forecast predicted and had overcast and occasional light showers. At 20:00 we had late sunshine to end the day. This morning it's calm, overcast and dry at the moment. The glass is up and almost on 1010mb. The forecast is very similar to yesterday, overcast and showery from 09:00 onwards and heavier showers and sunny intervals later this afternoon. The southerly winds will be moderate and we will have a high of 14C and a low of 11C tonight. Very light wind chill, -2C at most. The outlook is for a very similar day tomorrow but brighter and then gradually rising temperatures for the rest of the week rising to a sub-tropical 17C for Margaret!

Yesterday afternoon was overcast with frequent light showers and the heating was on! That was how it was at 20:00. First thing this morning it was overcast but dry, since then we have had a light shower and once more the CH is on. The glass is down on 1002mb and the forecast is for an overcast showery day. The constant W wind is moderate and gives us a high of 14C and a low of 10C tonight with a wind chill of up to -3C. The outlook is for improving weather, warmer and brighter. About time too!

We had pretty much constant rain yesterday, some of it very heavy. Today is fine at the moment but the sky is saying it might not stay that way.

10:30.
I should have known it. That put the kibosh on it, it started raining straight away and hasn't stopped since! :biggrin2:

It started raining pretty much as soon as I posted the last post, eased off after a while, went for a walk in the dry, and it was quite warm

Morning Cathy, it's rained in Perth as well according to Laura.
We had a dry sunny afternoon for our meet-up in Town Square but it was cold. Later at 20:00 we were under heavy overcast and that's how it is this morning but we are promised rain shortly which will last until about 09:00 and then be dry with bright overcast for the rest of the day. The NW wind gives us a high of 17C and a low of 8 tonight with up to -3C wind chill. The outlook is for similar temperatures but less sun.

Yesterday afternoon managed to stay dry but it was always cold. At 20;00 it was calm and overcast but dry. First thing this morning it was calm and clear and the CH was on. It is still calm and clear. The glass has risen to 1016mb and is still rising. The forecast is for a sunny start slowly becoming bright overcast and sunny spells but always dry. The Northerly winds will be light to moderate and we will have a high of 16C with a low of 8C tonight. The wind chill will get to -3C this afternoon. The outlook is for similar weather, bright and dry mainly, for the next six days.

I've just checked my CCTV and it's 'sunning' in Foulridge too. In Arhus, Denmark it's not. It's currently raining but warm, the forecast shows it brightening up in the next hour or so. It's 19 degrees at the moment.

Yesterday afternoon was sunny but not warm. At 20:00 we had sun coming in under the light overcast. This morning first thing it was calm, clear and cool. It's tending to cloud over now. The glass is up on 1023mb and the forecast is for sunny intervals at first but heavy overcast by late morning, it will stay dry. The constant northerly winds are light to moderate and give us a high of 16C and a low of 7C tonight with a wind chill of -2C. The outlook for next week is cool and showery.

Unfortunately not Kev. Next week we are into the heating season again! Sorry. :biggrin2:
Yesterday was as per the forecast, it was overcast by late morning and we got late sun to end the day. At 20:00 we had full sun coming in under the broken overcast that was building. This morning it's calm clear and cool. The glass is up again, a shade over 1025mb and the forecast is for a clear sunny day. The light to moderate westerly winds give us a high of 17C and a low of 12C tonight with a -3C wind chill later. The outlook is for cooler weather and perhaps light showers. The high pressure isn't doing us a lot of good.
