Thanks Tinks. Feeling a bit better and managed to get a fair bit of preparation work done for some training I'm doing next week.
Just heard from Dan - poor lad has tonsillitis again and is sat waiting to see a doctor. Nolic :alvarin:

Earlier on in this thread I mentioned that I always read it as “Today I shall be Mandy”. Doc’s answer was rather ambiguous ... :laugh5:

Sue, the worst news. Of course in your heart you knew that it was just a matter of time but it's a hammer blow when someone actually tells you. Only consolation is he's in the right place with good palliative care. If he could articulate it he would be telling you to stop worrying about him and look after yourself. Thinking about you...
Moh, yes if you want to do so but low temperature burning like that can lead to tarry deposits in the flue so I let it burn out. Remember it's still like a very hot radiator for hours after it has stopped burning. Mine's out but still too hot to touch and front room still warm.
Belle, have cracked cleaning glass, my spit not as strong as Deadly's!
Comrade, if you are a wimp, join the club! It's a serious cold and needs to be treated with respect. I remember trying to fight a similar cold off in 1981 but in the end had to go to the doctors. He said that the nice thing about treating me was that I didn't go to him until I had classic symptoms, he said I had Pleurisy, gave me the strongest antibiotics he had and sent me home to bed! Don't follow my example.
Today I shall be walking carefully, keeping warm and well fed and finishing reading Deighton's Bomber.

Seem to have shrugged off the worst symptoms again and managed to get through loads of work today - until my laptop gave up the ghost.
I now have only a couple of more assignments then an assessed presentation for my life long teaching certificate and I got all my training presentations sorted out into part reveal power point to make effective use of my new projector. (tax allowable) So reasonably happy bunny today. :yahoo: Nolic

Comrade, be careful! It's a recurrent virus if you give it half a chance.
Keeping warm and being careful. Boring isn't it...

It took me just under three weeks to start to feel almost normal again. I still have bad sinuses and sneezing bouts

Snap Sue! The after effects still linger but Doctor Green will cure them!
Keeping warm, reading and being very careful when walking! I felt sorry for Pluggy yesterday, he came to sort my Flying Machine and was hampered by the fact he still needs a walking aid after his broken leg. Not the best combination for the ice underfoot!

Good news Sue.
It is a great little programme Nolic. I use it for the Earby History Soc. accounts and find it very straight forward and simple to use.

Right windy. Did all mine from June last year in about 3/4 hour. Lot easier than Excel. Thanks again for pointing me in this direction. Nolic
