Well done all concerned. Who would have thought that a quarter of the way into the 21st century we would be running charitable events to feed hungry people because they couldn't feed themselves.......

Went to Skipton yesterday, had a walk up the canal spur under the castle before lunch, then back down canal to Bizzie Lizzies, lovely lunch there, then a walk the other way along the canal 3.6 mile in total which didn’t feel anything like that. The market was certainly busier than last time we went when there were very few stall holders there.

I often watch Journeys - Skipton to Barnoldswick on the bus. A video on YouTube. Very relaxing. 😊

Linton to catch our Granddaughter Isla who is doing part of her Duke of Edinburgh's Award this weekend which was a trek from Grassington to Cracoe. All on footpaths with overnight camping at Linton Falls. All participants had to carry their own belongings and equipment up to a maximum of 25% of their body weight. They walked in groups. Isla and her group were last in at Linton and they still had 1.5 - 2 miles to go to the finish. Most of the other groups that came before them had a 15 minute break but her group decided to push straight on. Carla and Ant were there as they had to collect her when she finished at Cracoe. We had a few pleasant hours on the green at Linton, we took a pack up lunch and had an odd beer. I supped alcohol free stuff as I haven't finished my antibiotics quite yet.

Sounds like a good day out Ian!
These days I find it is wise to stay within reach of my own lavatory and bed, I never know when I will need them! :biggrin2:
Old age isn't for cissies!

Loch Erne in Ireland, stayed at the Manor House Country Hotel on a coach tour with Bibbys of Ingleton. They are doing another one in October and cannot recommend it enough, everything about the holiday was great, we even had an evening meal with cruise in the lake…….beautiful.

I don't feel too bad Gloria, but I am taking it easy just in case! A load of washing and frying my sweet potato chips will make me feel active!
