That pic cheers me up no end Wendy. Treasures in heaven!
Jack decided to join me yesterday, he had a day of vomiting and diarrhoea and kept me busy! He has recovered totally, as they do, but I could have done without it!

There is a canine vomiting bug going round, hundreds of dogs affected all over a wide area. Smaller dogs most at risk as they dehydrate quicker.

He recovered fine. Was ready for his tea last night!

Pity about all that rain keeping them inside, but at least you haven’t got wet-dog smell.
I’d be the cat on the top of the sofa - highest and most comfortable. :laugh5:

They had a long wait, it was still raining at 22:00 when I went to bed.....
(I'd be following Wendy around wherever she went.)

2 of them followed me out into the barn when I fed the ponies just after 10. Bruce (the dog) has quite short hair and dries out quite quickly. Must admit there wasnt a moment yesterday that either of us would have taken him for his walk around the fields.

Not much better yet this morning Wendy, I don't know about you up there but down here in the town the wind was more violent than at any time this week. That was what brought me in early.....

60 to 70mph gusts for an hour or so around 5am.

That doesn't surprise me Wendy, that's when we were out.
It's a bit better now but still a strong wind, not as violent as this morning.

They're a bit old for the 2000 guineas, but it's cancelled anyway. Well done.

Amazing how many insects there were yesterday evening. Tell Dennis and Sparky to watch out for the flies today!

I'm hoping for a good breeze for the next few days. They were very bothered by insects when we had the warm spell a week or so ago.

Garlic and olive oil in a feed, takes a week or so to work but it does. The midges stop bothering them. Bottle of olive oil, bulb of garlic smashed up a bit in it, shake and a slurp on feed.

It worked wonders with a pony we had years ago, they used to drive him bonkers, and he was grey as well.
