Following the closure of the Lead Mining Museum earlier this year a new use needs to be found for the Old Grammar School building in Earby. The building belongs to the Robert Windle Foundation Trust whose purpose is to assist the education of children from Earby. For a long time there has been no income from the building for the Trust, so they are hoping that someone will come forward with a viable plan for the building, commercial or otherwise, which will bring in an income to enable the Trust to provide small grants which will benefit the community.
Like many voluntary bodies the Trust consists of five dedicated, community minded people who are reaching the age when they should be able to sit back and put their feet up!
There is an Open Day next Saturday 14th when people are invited to come along and bring their ideas while enjoying an exhibition, craft stalls and pie & peas.

Don't forget to pop in to the Old Grammar School on Saturday if you are in the area, even if it's just for a pie & peas lunch! I'll be there selling History Society books.
