I'm smiling but I've had to blow my nose twice watching that lot! Big hug for Wendy for taking the trouble to drag it all together.
Thanks to all of you for taking the trouble, you've mad an old man shed a tear! Talk about the power of tinternetwebthingy! The biggest surprise was the shed men and women.Spare a thought for Mick and John breaking a sweat over hot metal today as they cast the cylinders for me and cross your fingers!
My birthday wish to all of you is that you can be as lucky and as happy as I am this morning, you are all lovely caring folks and deserve the best.

My poor old toe...well I was one of the early bird's who responded as soon as Wendy's trumpet sounded weeks ago, and perhaps I had more time on my hands than some. Toe is fine for now, though it is a recurring problem, so no doubt I shall moan about it again at some point. It has been bothering me for a few years and I guess I will have to get something done about it ( but one can't rush these things...I am not keen on doctors.)

It was a wonderful day. Here are a couple of pics....



Outside the Craven Heifer in a light snow shower after our tea... L to R. Stanley, Susan, Joanne, Mick, Jess and Mo. Lovely food and yes, I had a pint of Black and Tan! Just as good as it always was. Almost 60 years since I was a regular in that pub, it's changed a bit!



What do you give a bloke who has everything? The answer is over 150 pictures! Ian and Wendy delivered the best birthday card in the world yesterday and we had a good look at it while we had our tea. Everyone is knocked out by it. Big Kev did all the work! Brilliant job Kev, it must have taken hours. Talk about this is your life! Once again, thanks to all the lovely people who made the effort and produced this and the topic. I am completely bowled over by it and am going to have a quiet day absorbing it all. I suppose the main thing is that I never realised so many people care about me. I got quite emotional yesterday but I HAVE GOT OVER THAT NOW! It was costing too much in kitchen roll! You have made me very happy.....

The shed is taking a back seat today. I have rearranged the picture wall and Kev's montage gets pride of place! Lovely. A constant reminder for me of my birthday.
Now I have to write a letter to a nice lady I haven't seen for forty years but yesterday a card with a lovely warm message turned up. Isn't life great!

{PS. I've also got rid of all the packaging......}

Good to see everyone getting enjoyment out of it that's what pictures should be about, a talking point.

This is the original file that Kev gave me to order from. I have had to re sample it to comply with the gallery and post settings but is should enlarge a bit if clicked on. These are all gleaned from Stanley's own images in the gallery (there are a lot to go through). The "team" did a lot of clandestine PM'ing in the background and we are all glad you like it.
