Here is a link to the final recommendation of the Boundary Commission for Pendle. After the map has loaded you can zoom in with the tools at the top. Looks like we are to be carved into two wards, "Barnoldswick" and "Earby & Coates". Parish Boundaries A,B and C will remain largely the same, a nightmare for local and parish elections. It also has a major knock on effect to the local Labour Party branches which are organised on a ward basis.

Consultations indicated that the comission would try to respect communities that had historic or meaningful links, that has not really happend, and not only in Pendle.

Indeed, you only have to look at Barlick and the insanity of transferring a large chunk of it to Earby, only a couple of miles of green fields in between! Maybe it's part of the Tory plan for preferential building on greenfield sites. We willl have to see what those that live at Gill, Rainhall and Kayfield have to say about that.

Divide and rule..... Shades of what happened when Clitheroe found it had a Labour MP because of the rise of Nelson that was included with them. A quick revision of Parliamentary boundaries cured that.

All out Borough Council elections will be fought on the new boundaries next year. That will reduce the number of councillors for West Craven from to six.
