I had a good walk this afternoon with an ex neighbour who now lives in Gargrave. We walked through the fields to Coniston Cold and then joined the canal towpath at Bank Newton to hsad back to Gargrave. Very speedy as my friend is younger and as fit as a fiddle. :laugh5:

3 weeks in and 90 miles walked so far. I'm loving every minute but starting to feel a little delicate around the knees!!

Sally and Wendy will be walking together this afternoon, Sally's turn for the route but from what I hear it is a route that has been requested by Wendy. Should be nice if it stays fine.

Met Office forecast is looking dry for this afternoon. We'll be taking a wander into Colne once Evri have delivered my parcel.

Update 13:08

Evri deliver bang on time, it was my new walking shoes (I have walking boots but I needed a lighter pair for 'road' walking). I jumped straight in and wore them for the 4 mile round trip, very impressed.

How was your walk today Wendy? You can't be far off your 100 mile target.

Don't be tempted to try to reach 100 miles and go out in the rain Wendy! Have an easy day today, it's going to be wet and windy. Plenty of better weather coming up in the next six days.....

Sally and I had a very enjoyable walk on a pleasant afternoon. We met in the Co-op car park and walked up Lister Well Road then down the track past Copy Nook and on to the Fanny Grey. From there we walked down the Drag and back to Barlick along the canal.
Just over 5 miles, but my OS map app seems to be getting a bit generous with its measurements, I must check the settings!

Its November 30th and my challenge is over! Nearly 120 miles walked and £426 raised for Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team. A big thankyou to everyone for your support and donations! Back to housework and the garden

That's good news Wendy and I am so glad you got there. Let's not forget your buddy Sally who gave you the best support of all, her company and encouragement.
PS what a good job the weather was so kind to you! I am still thinking about Arwen!

Thank you everyone! Stanley, I certainly don't forget Sally, I had her company on 4 of my walks throughout the month and she has shown me paths that I wouldn't otherwise have discovered. The problem is I don't remember where we have walked as we are so busy chatting! :laugh5:

I wasn't referring to you Wendy, more the rest of us. I like the fact they were chatting so much that you can't remember where you were walking!
