Wendy's November Challenge

Pendle Dogs, one of my favourite local charities, are asking their supporters to do a £100 challenge this autumn. I'm really enjoying my walking at the moment so I have challenged myself to walk 100 miles in November including Pendle's 3 peaks, Weets, Boulsworth and Pendle Hill. It sounds dramatic but it's 5 miles on twenty days which sounds more reasonable.

I'd be there like a shot Wendy but unfortunately wouldn't be able to stay the course. Would it count if you accompanied me on bookie watch?

I bet Sally will be up for it. She is always looking for different routes to walk, I'll mention it.

Thanks Gloria. I'll certainly enjoy getting out in all weathers, I'm well stocked up with waterproofs! I've been trying to form a plan but it does depend on the weather, hills on good days and low down when it's wild.
One question for my sponsors....I take the dog for a walk round the fields at least once a day, should I add that distance to my daily totals? It's over three quarters of a mile so would help quite a bit towards my 100 miles.

I thought the weather might beat me today but it turned out to be better than expected... some of the time! Over 5 miles walked when I add in my morning trudge round the field with Bruce.
Tomorrow afternoon I'm looking forward to meeting up with Sally at Foulridge Wharf where she will join me for a circular walk to Salterforth via Hague and Kelbrook then back on the canal towpath. Another 5 miles or so.

I'm always grim... :biggrin2:
Today Sally joined me for a circular walk from Foulridge Wharf via Skipton Old Road to Kelbrook, then up Vicarage Road and on to Salterforth, returning along the canal. 5.31 miles and a very pleasant walk. I must have been wandering around on my dog walk this morning as it was .89 of a mile.
Total so far 11.39 miles.

It was a lovely day to be up Weets, the views were magnificent and the route new to me. I am not photogenic but it had to be done!!
Over 23 miles walked in 4 days so I'm on target and without pain.
