Is this the same lamppost in these two images?
Looking at the curving pattern of the stones to the right of the little boys feet seems similar.

No Mick the top one is at the bottom of Queen Street opposite John St and the end of Calf Hall Lane. (The gates in the background are into Clough Mill yard.)
The other one is up the hill on the corner of Esp Lane and Colne Road. That was the standard pattern for Barlick Lamp posts.

And I have an idea that the building in the background, long gone, is the Spiritualist's Chapel.
