Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Last steak pudding with nothing else with it for dinner. Meat pie and sausages with some pease pudding for tea then a fast of at least 18 hours. Good job my body likes that regime!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
No dinner and tea of course. Dietary advice from Wendy went to the wall. Two slices of toast and marmalade and three bags of crisps in total all day. Back to normal today I hope....

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I bought carrots and parsnips and cooked them and mixed them in with the pease pudding used as a sauce. I had this plus a haddock fillet for dinner and a small pizza for tea.

Has anyone started on their Easter chocolate yet?
Here's an Easter Bunny I prepared earlier.
Cadburys of course

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Cathy, I doln't recognise Easter Chocolate, I have my 20g of 75% chocolate every teatime because it's another element in the variety I like in my food. And yes, I could quite happily eat the full bar I like it so much!
Dinner yesterday was a haddock fillet and veggies with pease pudding. Tea was 200g of pickled herring, veggies and 3 boiled eggs.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I had 200gm of pickled herring and three boiled eggs for dinner. For tea I had the last of the veggies and pease pudding. I had 3 small eating apples that were very woody (Not a good time of the year for apples if you try to stick to English ones.) I cut them up and stewed them with a little bit of sugar, poured the syrup off and had them with cream for pudding.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Dinner yesterday was two kipper fillets from the Stornaway Smokehouse, Susan got them there last Friday before they came home. Lovely kippers, if you get the chance have a go at them. Nibbled on Stilton for tea and stewed some more wooden apples and had them with cream.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Steak pudding and fresh veggies for dinner. Veggies and excess gravy from the stew for tea, the stew is on song today.... Good stew has to be given time to reach peak flavour. The meat is perfect, if there is a better way of cooking mutton I have yet to find it.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Yesterday I cooked carrots and parsnips and mashed them. Dinner was steak pudding and veggies, tea was a mixed nibble of a small pork pie, Boursin soft cheese and the usual afters.....

I think I am addicted to a 20gm piece of dark chocolate followed by some nuts for afters.....

You will have to switch to Summer Salads soon, Stanley. You don't need such a robust diet in warm weather...

Of course not. We have such hot Summers that it becomes a natural event to eat cold food that has little fuss in preparation. Even then we struggle to eat much at all. I am 10 kilos down after my back trouble, yet I delay rushing out to buy new clothes because I don't know if there is more to go, or this is it, or if Winter Comfort Food may put a few kilos back on.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Fish and Salad for us tonight. Hubby's blood sugar is up after scoffing Easter Eggs, so I am cracking down on him. I've been through the pantry and hidden every tempting treat I can find. Austerity measures taken...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I had a battered haddock fillet with peas and tomato sauce for dinner. At teatime I fell of the carb wagon.... I fancied boiled eggs on wholemeal teacakes so that's what I made. Three boiled eggs and tomato relish.... Really enjoyed them!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
We went to The Tempest Arms, I had a sirloin with a grilled mushroom, onion rings and some green veg. 'Er indoors had the 'Lamb Thingy-me-bob' with mash and veg. It was all very tasty.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
IK started the day by grilling Jack's sausages and some Cumberland sausages for me. I split the onion and tomato in two added frozen peas to each bowl and one sliced up sausage. That was dinner and tea.
