Chicken, savoury mince and veggies for breakfast, dinner and tea. We are what we eat and this regime seems to be working!
(I seem to have found the right combination of veggies and meat that means I am managing my Type 2 diabetes OK.)

I have tried sweet potato, but doesnt quite work taste and texturewise for me (although it is a root I dont think strictly it is of the potato family). You can get frozen sweet potato chips in bags at Sainsburys (and Probably Morrisons) if you want to try

Chicken, mince and veggies X three with the added bonus of a hot mini pizza form Mandy at Barlic Bites as I sat on the bench at the end of Albert Road on traffic duty. (It was very nice!)

Meat and veggies X three for breakfast, dinner and tea. Getting close to the end of this batch.
(I was going to roast next week's chicken this morning but have decided it would be better done tomorrow to give more chance of veggie shopping today before the rain starts.)

The last of last week's cooking for breakfast. No dinner really, just nibbles as I was cooking. Then fresh cooked veggies for tea.
I might cook savoury mince today just for light entertainment!

Three hot meals a day as usual! Because of the surfeit of veggies that I cooked, it looks as though the next veggie cooking day could be Tuesday or Wednesday.
It just struck me that I am looking forwards to my breakfast (As I will be to the other meals as well.) I am so lucky that I don't get sated by eating the same things all the time. Is it lack of imagination or superb cooking? :biggrin2:

They had fancy names but it was cauliflower soup and roast pork belly at The Devonshire Arms, Bolton Abbey for me. A lovely meal for twenty of us, all around one big table in a private room, to celebrate two 60th birthdays. It was a lovely evening but I was glad to get home to bed.

60 is so young..... but I'll admit I didn't think so at the time!
I had meat and veggies X three for breakfast dinner and tea. This week's surfeit of veggies has extended the life of the batch but there must be something intrinsically right about the way I cook and store them because if anything they are better at the end of the batch than at the beginning.

Back in the groove. Chicken and veggies X three for breakfast dinner and tea.
I went to the Co-op for some garlic and one or two cleaners I had run short of and spent £38 on two part carrier bags full. I don't know how young families on low incomes can manage.

Wow! I don't know how you can get to £38 for those bits Stanley unless you are not declaring all.

I filled half a trolley full, including some veg, fruit, tinned stuff, tea, coffee, cereal, other bits and cleaning materials at Aldi yesterday for £22.00.

I had chicken and veggies for breakfast and made savoury mince later in the morning. I added that to the chicken and had meat and veggies for dinner and tea. I confess to having a salad butty from Mandy's while I sat on the bench at the end of Albert Road in the sun.
I can't find an excuse to cook anything this morning........ :biggrin2:
