Pork pie and veggies for breakfast and steak pudding and veggies for tea. I cooked mutton yesterday and separated the fat from the gravy overnight. I have just separated that and put the gravy back in the slow cooker. I shall de-bone the mutton later, all ribs, skirt and scrag ends. It makes the best gravy.

Sausage and veggies for breakfast and tea. The mutton has slow cooked to perfection and is ready now. You can't beat the cheapest meat and the slowest cooking!

I got my Morrisons order today. All OK except I seem to have orderd two cabbages, and the wrong variety of Cup a Soup. I'll survive. Worthy of note - the last shop was 28th January, that's nearly three weeks ago, but I only used the last of the milk two days ago. It was fine. How does it keep for such a long time? Similarly the last order iceberg lettuce had plenty left so I had a salad for tea. That was fine too, as I never cut them just peel them. The Greek yoghurt hasn't been opened yet but I'm sure it will be fine.

I know why milk keeps so well David and suspect it applies to the other foods as well. The level of Hygiene is so high these days. The milk is virtually sterile when it goes into the container. Then we all have fridges. I agree with you, it's spooky, I can remember the milk chap delivering twice a day in summer.....
Sausage and Veggie X two for breakfast and tea. The mutton blade and peas is cooked, matured and in the fridge ready to serve.

I made some tomato and onion relish in the gravy from grilling 6 flavoured sausages. It's a while since I made it, it will be a nice change.
