ITVx is proving to be a happy hunting ground. I've finished Broadchurch and started on another oldie, Martin Clunes in Manhunt.
(I have the advantage that I have forgotten much of my earlier viewing!)

Enjoying the second Manhunt.....
I watched the afternoon session of Ronnie v. Mark Williams. See THIS for the BBC match report. Mark beat Ronnie 10-5 winning every one of the next seven games. Good job I wasn't watching...... I hate to see my heroes lose!

Watched 5th in the series of Passenger, it’s about the only programme that keeps us quiet, not a murmur except during the ads. Tonight is the last one, but also beginning tonight on ch5 is The Cuckoo, a four parter on consecutive nights, sounds good. Hope to catch up with the first one before the second one tomorrow.

I have started watching Under The Banner of Heaven on ITVx. If it's a true representation of life in a Mormon community, include me out!

Watched the last of Passenger, still as confused as I was at the beginning, practically no idea what was going on, and all of a sudden it’s ended 🫣😭

It's not but you have to to find out if they are any good. We have watched all of "This Town", loosely based on the rise of SKA & 2 Tone music around Coventry and Birmingham in the early 80's. We are currently watching series 2 of "Traces" on BBC1.

Fair enough - two good reasons to persist. They are just not my "cup of tea" and I have only myself to consider, so I tend make a very quick judgement.

My venture into ITVx continues and after 4 episodes of Under the Banner of Heaven I think I have grasped the plot. It's about the faults in Mormonism and the roots of the Sovereign Citizen movement and is frightening stuff. I'm glad I have never had to deal with it (And the added complication of everybody having access to firearms!)
So my excuse for persevering is education......

I watched an hour long video of Indian foundry workers making the mould, casting and planing the body of a large lathe. Like looking back into the 19th century because that's the vintage of the technology they are using.
Could they unwittingly be giving us a clue to what's wrong with our productivity? Is the answer to keep things simple? Have we got too clever for our own good?

We have just finished season 2 of that also Stanley. Ended on an "up" rather than the shock "downer" of the first series. I hope there is another series the characters and side stories have lots of potential mileage in them yet.

I decided to watch Line of Duty again and started last night. I think it was perhaps the best police drama ever..... Like Gloria I have the advantage that I have forgotten most of the plot so it is all new to me! :biggrin2:
