Ok, how many beans make 5?

A bean and a half and a bean and a half and half a bean and a bean and a half.

Well you did ask. :biggrin2: :extrawink:

Not sure where this one fits. On saturday morning I was ambushed by someone much younger than myself who looked at the clock and said " ten to ten, Cowboy Time". Totally lost and still confused I had to ask for and explanation which covered the theme was still a bit open. Any Ideas???

Reference above beans question, my dad's answer to how many beans makes 5 was: Two beans, a bean, a bean and a half and half a bean. He reckoned it was from the Beano circa 194something.

Ten to Ten...Cowboy time. Picture a Cowboy with a gun in each hand, pointing them up to the sky and shooting. His arms are in the Ten to Ten ( or Ten past Ten position)
Yeeeeha!
Two thirty is Time to go to the Dentist ( tooth hurty)

Cowboy Time. Everybody could be right. Six gun shooting (Marilyn) and repetitious sounding of the words ten to ten (PanBiker) horses galloping all feature in various explanations. I got a very fair rendering of 'Bonanza' theme tune when it was explained to me. Am I getting old??

Arrange into pairs:

WISE, WHIP, TURN, RING, RACE, POINT
MONKEYS, MILE, MICE, LINE, LEGGED, ISLAND
HENS, FRENCH, EVENT, DAY, CIRCUS, BLIND

It was a three day event including a three point turn competition. Our MP couldn't be bothered to turn up as he was enforcing a three line whip and there was no photo opportunity. :biggrin2:

Married??

Why though? It's not just finding the answer it's how you solve it. I have tried Married (the obvious answer) and cant make it fit, neither will Dowry or Vows, well not using number substitution anyway.
