Initially I thought chimney but, looking closer, there's a railing around the top. Is it a lighthouse?

They look like VHF Band I stacked dipoles. Or if at the coast are they VHF marine band, maybe for ship/shore repeater?

Just trainers but I can't help doing a double bow, it's second nature. If it was my boots, you might spot a triple twist before I lace up the cuff then back down a bit before the double knot. 😀

It's the staircase from Lewis's shop in Manchester. I pinched it from a Manchester history site on Facebook, which I enjoy a lot. It rang an immediate bell with me as I remembered queuing up those stairs, for what seemed like an age, to see Father Christmas. That must have been around or before 1950. What a strange thing memory is.

They had large lifts too, which had an operator, who announced the contents of each floor as you arrived there. A bit like Grace Brothers. :smile:
