Which bears out what I have believed and practised for many years. Diet is key to good health and the main things to avoid are high levels of processing and/or 'purification'. The nearer you are to natural and the soil the better you will be. The French have a lot more than taste in mind when they talk about 'terroir'.

Indeed, I have never liked the word benign, it hides the seriousness of removal if it comes to that. Also, benign or not if it's in the wrong place or gets too big it can still have a huge impact. The fact that it is stable is the key.

We've discussed physician associates before - it was obvious from the outset that this confusion would occur. Why can our politicians not see the obvious implications of their actions?

And the fact that hospital "Junior Doctors" are in the middle of another strike (the tenth?) does not merit any comment at all. It has become normal.

Doctors in England will strike for five days from 7am on 24 February until 11.59pm on 28 February.

David, Sunak welcomes the junior doctors striking because it enables him to blame them for the ills of the NHS instead of having to lay them where they belong, on Tory mismanagement and neglect.

I forgot to mention a curious circumstance on Monday when I went to Well for my meds. I walked into an empty shop and was served immediately. Not only had the text message alert worked but so had the service in the shop. This is not normal!

Booked for a Shingles jab at the surgery tomorrow. I rang up and asked if they were doing it. I have two friends who have both had Shingles lately, they say they would not wish it on anyone. I qualify having turned 70 last November. I remember being slathered in calamine lotion when I was kid, it was miserable then as well.

I'm still taking my prune juice and can now walk much better. It only needs a small amount each day and I can tell if I've forgotten to take it. After so many years of pain in my legs when walking I'm now free of it. Such a simple `intervention' with an amazing result.

Nice to know the more frequent trips to the loo are less painful than fewer in pain !

I had the shingles jab as soon as it became available a few years ago. They told me that one jab did the trick, no boosters.

I only need about 100ml of the juice daily for the potassium to stop the leg pain and it's not enough to make a significant change to frequency of bowel movements.

Mrs Tiz had her shingles jab a couple of weeks ago and they said she would be called back for a second one in 6 months time. There are two vaccines, a single dose one and a double dose one but I don't know if the decision which to give you is random or a deliberate choice. NHS

Yes, I noticed that it may be a double dose job. I suppose I will find out later today.

local news websites to me report 35 new admissions to hospital had covid this past week, that might be a rise.
Apparently the last year or so has seen overall a lower number of "expected deaths" compared with (ahh, which 5year average) in the UK

Had my shingles jab on Friday. Nurse Claire said there could be side effects! She was not wrong, felt proper rough when I got up on Saturday. Had breakfast but couldn't face any lunch, made it through to 3pm then took 2 paracetamol and went to bed. Woke at 9pm, feeling a bit better. Got up and had a brew and a couple more paracetamol. Not sleepy, hence posting now. Going back to bed now to see if I can get off to sleep again.
