Re: Today I shall be Mainly...

The pork belly made a good addition to the veggies! I shall be in the shed at 06:00 and this morning will have to address the subject of drilling steam passages in the cylinder and the standard. It's not an easy process and much of it is guesswork. I shall be glad when it is finished! Apart from tha...

Re: BARLICK LIFE 1900 ONWARDS.

Thanks David..... Here's some more for you and Cathy. BARLICK LIFE, 1900 ONWARDS (3) It’s 1921 and we left Margaret Ellen and her family living in 1 John Street on 25/- a week parish relief. It was a hard time for all of them and not surprisingly, a lot of Ernie’s memories of that time are about foo...

Re: WHAT ATTRACTED YOUR ATTENTION TODAY?

I think you're right David. From what I can make out, you only have to look sideways at someone to get expelled from the contest. Not like that here at Graham Towers. I have seen nothing of the aurora, I'll believe what everyone says about it. Could that be what's making my knee hurt worse this last...

That was nice! A short walk and a very pleasant sit in the sun on traffic duty. Now I shall have some hot dinner and yes, part of it will be the belly pork I cooked earlier. :biggrin2:

It's a nice morning for the market Sue.... I hope you have a pleasant shop.
I have just retrieved the belly pork and committed it to the next stage of the plan, being cut up into bite sized chunks and stewed slowly with diced fried potatoes..... It can do that without any supervision. :biggrin2:

Yesterday afternoon was the best weather yet this year, calm, sunny and warm. It was warmer outside than it was in the house.... At 20:00 it was still warm with an almost totally clear sky and late sunshine. The glass is down slightly on 1020mb and the forecast is for a sunny start to a bright dry d...
