Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Breakfast was a small helping of pressed beef and veggies. Tea was a steak pudding with peas and mashed veggies. No afters, wasn't really hungry but I need nourishment!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I will be making small meatballs and tossing them through a large salad, with plenty of fresh mushrooms.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Slow cooked some mutton in cider. By teatime it was cooked, boned, de-fatted and had the veggies in with it.
So last of the pressed beef with a small portion of veggies for breakfast and Mutton and veggies for tea.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Mutton and veggies X two for breakfast and tea. Dead simple and quite adequate!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I was off my grub a bit last week so the mashed veggies lasted longer than planned. That's OK because they have been in the fridge. I shall finish them today. Yesterday I had steak pudding and veggies for breakfast and a small pork pie and veggies for tea.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
A small, simple dinner for us tonight ( maybe fish fingers and salad). We have our “big eaters” coming for two nights and we will be so sick of the sight of food by the time they depart on Thursday ( they always leave AFTER lunch!).
They arrive tomorrow ( BEFORE lunch of course!).
They are dropping off the dog... ( which apparently takes 48 hours)
We mustn’t rush them. I would feel awful if it turns out they don’t see her again....

The homemade Gnocchi was a treat. Everyone enjoyed it...
We have had such a good laugh tonight, and it’s been ages since we had a night like that. My tummy is sore from laughing.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Two eggs for breakfast. Sausage, baked beans and deep fried skin on chunky chips for tea. Usual afters of 20gm of dark chocolate, nuts and a small apple. (An apple a day keeps the doctor away!)

It is heartening to see your appetite has returned.
Fish tonight, and a few chips...shared with the dog. ( she got quite a trot up when she saw CHIPS!!!?)

Jack's partial to the odd chip as long as it has salt and vinegar on it!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I roasted a big oven dish of vegetables, tomatoes and onions in a good gravy.
Breakfast was a steak and onion pie on its own. Tea was the same but with the roasted veggies, very tasty!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I’ve made a small Bacon/Cheese/Mushroom Pizza to throw in the oven about 9.30pm. Dave has a 6 pm meeting in the city tonight so probably won’t be home until after 9.30 pm. I made him a Cheese Roll to eat in the car, because it is a four hour round trip plus the meeting.
He will be tired when he gets home and hopefully if the house smells of a welcoming Pizza...he can enjoy it.
( dog wonders what is happening tonight...she has been hanging about the kitchen, telling me I have forgotten to cook dinner!)
( she has had hers of course, but that is not enough!)

They have good clocks in their heads! Jack's is very accurate, he has his own schedules and ensures I keep to them. He's keeping very close at the moment, it must be coming up time for second walk!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Oh I know. This dog knows when breakfast is due and dinner is due. She rounds me up and hassles me toward the kitchen. Then she does a little skip when I pull her bowl out. For a terminally ill dog, this is a very positive sign that brings me great joy. This is the very best I can expect, and gives me hope of handing her back next week.
I will go into deep depression if I can’t hand her back.
Everything is headed to a successful handover. She has been awarded every care.
